Dear patients and referring physicians!

Welcome to Swiss Surgery!

I am pleased to welcome you to the Swiss Surgery website.

The knee joint is characterized by a complex and finely tuned interplay between ligaments, muscles/tendons, menisci and joint surfaces. Due to the upright gait, the knee joint is exposed to enormous loads every day – whether at work, during sport or in everyday life.

The diseases and injuries that can affect the knee are correspondingly diverse. However, after an injury, in the case of an inflammatory disease such as rheumatism or for genetic reasons, the final destination always looks the same: osteoarthritis of the knee joint develops.

Each knee joint has its own anatomical personality. Only in recent years have we understood how great the variability actually is. When it comes to resurfacing the arthritically altered surfaces of your knee joint with an implant, a so-called knee prosthesis, personalized models have proven their worth since 2011. Since 2016, we have been using these individually customized implants manufactured with 3D printers in our practice. Instead of adapting the knee to the prosthesis, the individual implant is adapted to your anatomy.

We have specialized in the surgical treatment of the knee joint since 2002 and have been increasingly focusing on the treatment of knee osteoarthritis with personalized implants since 2016. This enables us to offer you the most suitable and individual treatment for your knee problems.

We warmly welcome patients of all insurance classes.

I am at your disposal for a personal meeting!
