On behalf of Swiss Surgery, a network of internationally recognized experts in surgery and operative medicine, I am pleased to introduce the section on cardiac and thoracic vascular surgery.
 
Cardiac surgery, together with cardiology, is an integral part of the treatment of cardiovascular disease, which still accounts for a large proportion of all diseases in the population.

Thanks to my many years of experience as a senior physician and professor at the University Hospital Zurich, I have been able to gain a wealth of experience in the entire field of cardiac surgery over the years.

My medical practice focuses particularly on minimally invasive heart valve surgery and conventional bypass surgery for coronary heart disease, as well as aortic surgery for aortic aneurysm.
 
It is my personal aim to offer my patients the best possible and most gentle treatment options so that they can return to their normal daily lives as quickly as possible.
