Operating means taking responsibility for a person and is therefore a matter of special trust and experience.

With over 20 years of experience in Coloproctology and with more than 10,000 operations performed in this area I have been able to acquire comprehensive experience. My clinical education started at the University Hospital in Zurich and was followed by the consulting time in the first certified interdisciplinary pelvic floor centre of Switzerland in St. Gallen. A postgraduate Fellowship at the Royal London Hospital (London, UK), Prof NS Williams completed my knowledge in the surgical treatment of complex pelvic floor disorders.

The special focus of my medical work has been on minimally invasive pelvic floor reconstructions and neosphincter procedures.

Since many years I am member of the board of the Germany society of Coloproctology and in this function responsible for the surgical guidelines in coloproctology.

As examiner and treasury of the Division Colo-Proctology in the European Union of Medical Specialists (USME) I am co-responsible for the young in coloproctology since 2007, which gives me much pleasure and satisfaction.

As a surgeon, it is my personal concern to put this experience at the service of my patients and to maintain and restore their health using the latest medical knowledge and technical possibilities.
