Dear patients and referring physicians!

Women’s health, and in particular gynecological oncology, is a very complex specialist area in medicine that demands far more than just operative skills. I am always happy about the trust placed in me and always try to find an individual path that can be followed together.

After my training in gynecology and obstetrics with a focus on operative gynecology and gynecological oncology at the university hospitals in Heidelberg, Marburg and Göttingen, I said goodbye to obstetrics in 2007 and went to the Inselpital in Bern to deepen my knowledge in minimally invasive surgery. In 2013 I switched to the gynecological clinic of the Lucerne Cantonal Hospital as head physician, which I left with a team in 2018 and then founded gyn-zentrum ag in 2018 with an interdisciplinary team dealing with women’s health. The aim here is to bring quality closer to the patients, hence the offer at different locations. My operational expertise currently enables me to work at various clinics, especially in Lucerne, Cham, Aarau and St. Gallen.

The special focus of my medical work is on complicated interventions in the field of gynecological oncology, also in particular malignant tumors of the ovaries and fallopian tubes, the uterus and the vulva. I am also involved in certified breast centers as an established core team member.

We are part of a very well-coordinated team and an extended network, so that your needs are fully covered.

We warmly welcome patients of all insurance classes!

I am happy to answer any questions you may have and look forward to hearing from you,

Prof. Dr. med. Andreas Günthert
